BigDogs Puppy

BigDogs Puppy A complete pet food, balanced
specifically for all breeds of pups

With the correct care and nutrition most large-breed pups maintain slow controlled growth and lead a healthy and happy life. However, research has proven that unrestricted growth in large-breed pups is associated with increased risk of hipdysplasia, osteochondritis dessicans (OCD), hypertrophic osteodrystrophy (HOD) and other growth deformities throughout the dog's lifetime.

Gain BigDogs Puppy is specifically formulated to meet the nutritional needs of large-breed pups.

Key Features

  • A precise balance of meat and vegetable proteins, together with the desired fat and energy content, are included to help maintain optimal body weight in adult dogs.
  • L-Carnitine is added because of its metabolic role in reducing the deposition of body fat.
  • The correct mineral balance helps maintain strong bones and teeth. TruCal, Glanbia's unique source of highly available natural milk Calcium, is included.
  • Omega-3 and Omega-6 Fatty Acids (from Fish oil, Flaxseed etc) are correctly balanced to help achieve a healthy skin and a glossy coat etc.
  • Glucosamine and MSM are added to help maintain joint mobility.
  • Fructo-oligosaccharide (FOS) and Beetpulp fibres are included to help promote good digestion and stool quality.
  • Vitamin E and other antioxidants will help maintain strong, natural immunity.
  • Natural plant extracts are added to help control dog odour.

Gain BigDogs Puppy is also ideal for feeding to large-breed pregnant or lactating bitches.

The feeding guide below should be adjusted depending on your pup's breed, level of activity and external conditions, so that your pup has a lean healthy condition (maintain a body condition score of 4, in a scale of 1 to 9, with 1 being emaciated and 9 being obese). Feed dry or moistened to a consistency that your pup prefers. It is recommended to feed large breed pups 3 times per day up to 6 months of age, reducing to 2 times per day thereafter. Fresh drinking water should be available at all times.
