Gain Horse Feeds Exhibit at the 2nd ITBA Expo 2010

Gain horse feeds had a key presence at this years ITBA Expo held in the Goffs sales arena, Co Kildare on the 29^th and 30^th January. The Gain Horse feed sales team and nutritionalists were on hand for the entire two-day exhibition to offer feeding advise to all those who visited the stand. The opportunity was taken to launch a number of new initiatives for Gain Horse Feeds including the new Special Edition Cool ‘N’ Easy bag, our new look Gain Horse Feeds product brochure, Gain Horse Feeds Super Prize Competition in which tickets to the World Equestrian Games can be won, as well as showcasing our extensive range of feeds formulated for the breeding and racing sector.

Those visiting the stand were also given the opportunity to win a fabulous hamper full of goodies as well as a host of other prizes. Congratulations to Jamie Whelan of Co. Laois who won first prize in this draw.

In conjunction with Alltech, Gain Horse Feeds also hosted a discussion panel ‘Personalised Equine Nutrition: Opportunities for the Future’ on the Saturday afternoon. A distinguished list of speakers were present - Prof. Tom Buckley, Irish Equine Centre, Jim Bolger, Racehorse Trainer, Dr. Catherine Dunnett, Independent Equine Nutrition and Joanne Hurley M.Agr.Sc, Gain Horse Feeds. The talk was well attended, with in the region of 200 people joining us in the main auditorium to listen to this informative discussion. The take home message was that innovation and research are going to be key elements in shaping the way in which we feed our equine athletes in the future.

The forum was chaired by Mark Costello deputy editor of The Irish Field and all those attending left feeling well informed in all aspects of equine nutrition and husbandry.
